$700 Billion US Bailout Plan

"It's not based on any particular data point, we just wanted to choose a really large number." — a Treasury Department spokeswoman explaining how the $700 billion number was chosen for the initial bailout, quoted on Forbes.com Sept. 23, 2009.

Well, no comment on this statement from my side. So “funny”!

    hehe.. thats true, one of my professors who worked in FED for 25years told us that even that bailout proposal was just 3 pages.
